Her name is Kelly Anna, she is a very good friend of mine and incredibly talented. She is doing something that is so new and clever, fashion illustrations of the catwalk collections. Everyone has a camera these days, and everyone is a fashion photographer or street snapper but Kelly's illustrations capture the collections in a more permanent and physical keepsake, a piece of art you want to keep forever and treasure. Ohhh, my lucky eyes (and hands)!
I felt so honoured to be in the presence of these beauties. And actually being able to touch and handle them. Earlier this week, i popped into the Alexander McQueen press office to select a few samples for a shoot i am styling for Bulgarian fashion magazine MODA (The 12-14 page story is being shot by the talented George Garnier). The McQueen mainline was out of my grasps for this particular shoot (I did manage a number of fantastic pieces from the McQ line), but what an honour it was to see the magnificent detail in opulence of Lee McQueen's last collection.

AW10 models had barely turned their heels at the end of the runway and everybody is already at it. Of course with me being the ultimate keen-o, I acquired my (vintage) shearling oversized (delboy-ish) jacket two seasons in advance taking immediate inspiration from Prada and Burberry and it seems shearling will be the thing of AW10

No i haven't forgotten to blog, it has just taken this long to get out of the amazing lazy haze Hawaii left me with. Suffice to say my 8 days in Hawaii were tremendous, stupendous and pure paradise, and to much of a good thing will give you a horrendous come down... So 23 days later and with the sun now shining in London to half the strength of the Hawaiian sun i feel that i can commence my life.... (although my heart pangs at the thought of possibly the most beautiful place in the world).

12 hours from me posting this, i will be on a Virgin Atlantic flight en-route to Hawaii...! Eeek!!

To be honest, it is still all a bit crazy and still hasn't sunk in. It has all been very last minute and spontaneous, only two and a half weeks ago (to be exact) the decision was made that a much needed get-away for my best friend and i was imminent. So we will be joining the newly-weds, honey-mooners and American celebrities (in my head Hawaii is exactly like Forgetting Sarah Marshall) to surf, whale watch and relax . We will be vacationing (as they say in the states), on the island O'ahu, staying on Waikiki Beach, i can imagine there is going to be an immense amount to do out there*

I have just about zipped my suitcase shut and finally got to use this brilliant gadget i got last week. Now i am in no way a gadget geek (the only gadgets i own are my electric toothbrush, my iphone and laptop) but i am thoroughly impressed with it and think everyone should have one. It is a handy luggage scale by Salter that weighs your cases beforehand so you know how much it weighs before arriving at the airport. A lot more accurate than trying to balance a suitcase on a bathroom scale. Genius.
Now baring in mind that i am away for 9 days (2 of those are mainly flying: 18 hours each way, including transit in LAX), i seem to have accumulated:

2 pairs of heels
27 pieces of jewellery
7 tops
9 bikinis
1 jumpsuit
8 dresses
4 sandals/flip flops
3 shorts
5 skirts
3 trousers/leggings
And seemingly lots of other luggage fillers...

=20.993451kg!!!

Luckily, with this amazing, device i am able to save myself the embarrassment and stress of finding out at the bag drop off point that my luggage is overweight, and having to (on my hands and knees) reshuffle the hand luggage and check-in luggage. I have of-course failed to divulge the story of that exact scenario happening to myself and Steve Doyle (of BUCK) earlier this year during Milan and Paris menswear fashion week. The less said about that the better, the embarrassment was near fatal...

I look forward to surfing, swimming, snorkeling, rainforest's, volcanoes, whales, turtles, sushi, Luau's and more. I will try my hardest to picture blog as often as possible out there.

Blood, Sweat and Fears...

Over the next few days, make sure you go to this:I have just got back from the private view this evening and was pleasantly astounded. The event was described to me by my lovely friend Richard Danks (who is curating and organising the event alongside Chelsea Campbell) as a "Live Magazine". This, as i learned this evening, translates the concept of a magazine from the printed page to a live interactive event featuring artists as diverse as fashion designers, illustrators, musicians, art installations, live photo-shoots and design interaction. I saw variety of content including food in the way of beautiful and unique cake-cum-lollipops by Fifi & Lola (I was unfortunately unable to sample them on account of the fact that i am a celiac, but my friends with me told me they were very very delicious); Illustrations by Oliver Hemsley, the Central St Martins student of which the charity Art against Knives is born from his tragic and unprovoked stabbing a year ago; and interactive art "Singing Doodles" by Louise O'Connor (my favourite of the evening), where drawings are transformed into music. Puppy fashion week- LFW AW10

Credit has to be given to beautiful dalmatian puppy Bernie (who finally turns 1 later this month) for keeping up to date during this years London fashion week. Although he was not allowed to attend any shows, on account of the fact that he is a very excitable pooch, he stayed loyal to his fashion roots and kept a day to day London fashion week clothes diary*...

Fashion East: Man AW10

This year saw Katie Eary open the MAN show with a collection inspired by Irvine Welsh’s “Marabou Stork Nightmares”. The collection saw a variety of textures running throughout the collection including furs; wools; photographic technicolour and hallucinatory prints of intertwining and winding green snakes; vibrant purple velvet devore tiger print and orange and lime green mock-croc shirts. I loved all the metallic, reflective neon trousers and matching trainers, as well as the chunky knits, well i loved it all to be honest. I want it all...!
Cult menswear duo Jaiden rVa James followed with a collection that took inspiration from Mad Max films and Tom of Finland books. Think Hell raiser meets Kiss (the band) at Torture Gardens. Model after model charged down the runway in head to toe leather; from leather balaclava with ball gags to a more wearable leather shirt, tie and trousers(!) to over the knee high heeled wedges, possibly signaling a nod towards womenswear for the design duo? Or quite simply just reiterating their signature of pushing sexual taboos and boundaries in fashion. Either way this was possibly a highlight of the day in terms of sheer entertainment and fun, so out there, but still so wearable. I heart the shearling coat, leather strapped trousers and all the wedge heels, i want now!
The final collection of the MAN show was another debuting designer to the show New Power Studio. This collection titled “Drunken Monkey” seeks to embrace and harness the mad-but-good energy of London’s people and its music. Think glad rags for rude boys... The collection saw more casual street wear pieces with sweatshirts sporting leather insert on shoulder, double hemmed sports wear jackets and a mixture of textures in one particular tracksuit of velvet, fleece and cotton jersey. A few surreal and note worthy elements came down the runway including a pair of children one with a drum for a head and the other with a white golf ball for a hand and an OAP on a scooter...

Menswear day round up LFW- AW10

The menswear day began with Carolyn Massey's military pattern inspired collection with a colour palette ranging from a soft greys to rose tinted worn and faded prints borrowed from the muted hues of the Tokyo morning sunrise. Wide smock tops in leather and cotton, tailored suits and knits in faded sky greys. Military badges adorned jackets and acted as belt buckles in an entry from a collaboration with jewellery designer Hannah Martin. A glittery all-in one jumpsuit, Tabio fishnet socks and man clutch signalled a romantic and feminine mood to Massey's military uniform inspired collection..

Following immediately after was the J.W Anderson show with a mix of Lumberjack plaids , heavy studded jack boots and a heavy outdoors camping theme. Impressive styling of the collection included Anderson vast selection of accessories including leather neck chokers, belts and anklets around trouser hems and boots. Embellishment in the shape of beading on boots, badges and pockets ran throughout the collection.
The second set of shows later in the day saw Christopher Shannon and James Long both move away from the skinny trouser and toward the wider leg. Shannon teamed walking boots this season with his signature sporting silhouette of track pants and sweatshirts. Silhouettes at times mirrored a footballer with loose fitting t-shirts and shorts with socks pulled up to mid-thigh, a nice variation to the meggings and short look we have seen on the past seasons. Light jackets were layered on top of each other like protection and armour and face paint would suggest combat. The print this season took shape of a paisley print with the CS monogram running through out.James Long show looked to exhibit a boy with a strong determined attitude and did so with a plethora of textures throughout the collection. Mohair's with over sized corduroy, quilted leather with knitted wool and denims with furs. Two jumpsuits ran through the collection taking shape in the over sized corduroy and a red rope print that also surfaced in a few other items…Topman design aimed to show the east Berlin "cool" boys with a punk aesthetic. All the boots were mid thigh length and many styled over the trousers. It was all about the trouser or the coat. High waisted cotton combat trousers in khaki and earthy tones ran through out the collection and a pair of long johns as outerwear, Topman design also offered ripped patchwork denim jeans towards the end of the collection.. A number of statement coats debuted including the number of Parka's, two variations of the bomber jacket in fur and nylon and a shearling coat.

It sems like someone's been a busy boy! British shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood exhibits a selection of shoes from his recent and upcoming show collaborations at the London Fashion Week exhibition. This season Kirkwood has collaborated with none other than 7 designers including: Roksanda Ilincic, Meadham Kirchoff, Peter Pilotto, Erdem, Louise Gray, Preen (last picture) and Rodarte (first 4 pictures below):

The geometric shapes mixed with the juxtaposition of the plush leather and the cut-out are fantastic and it's great to see a change from the non-flush platform sole that he famous for. And yes, the heels are melting candle wax- Celia Loves!

Tamara Venn: Ink and Stylus

These are a small selection of the fantastic hand illustrated scenes by artist Tamara Venn. The pictures show a range of ethereal masked women, caged butterflies, fantastically floral prints and the odd piece of antique French furniture in exquisite detail. Tamara draws using the smallest nib she can find and black and white Indian ink. Acne AW10- Star Wars the Clone Wars

It is that time of year again! Deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth....

Mmmmm, look at the piled on bangles, love the copper colour, mixed with the pewter. This season Acne are again working with jewellery designer Husam El Odeh.

Jonny Johansson has taken inspiration for this collection this season, from an unlikely source that is Star Wars:

"My sons are completely obsessed with Star Wars and i have to watch and live it everyday, so for this season, I created an aesthetic based around Star Wars the Clone Wars. I am not doing it because i have a choice, it has completely penetrated my world..."

The Acne founder sourced inspiration from the colour palette and the shapes and silhouettes of the movies. He continued last season themes of spirituality an astronomy with the shows make-up direction (huge metallic bindi-like spots on the forehead) and the long and floaty romantic and nomad-like silhouette.
I am in love with the crazy almost nomadic tertiary print of the balloon trousers in the picture above, and teaming the voluminous trouser with the thin spoke heel. Great silhouette...

*COUGH* Erm... please take a look at the shoes (below) that stole the show and my heart! A slouchy, fur lined, leather ankle boot with an incredible caterpillar like tread, with only 4 grooves at the sole...! To die for! Acne's shoes seem to get better and better every year. It never ceases to amaze!

Strangely love the silhouette of the voluminous trouser tucked into the wide boot. It almost reminds me of seeing some teenage girls wearing pyjama bottoms as outer wear and having them tucked into (those horrendously ghastly) Ugg boots! I hate that look, and i hate Ugg boots! But i most certainly like this look..

Love that Acne have again repeated the floor length tube dress silhouette, i am really enjoying that, and looking forward to enjoying it even more over the summer!

The collection was spot on with a perfect mix of fabrics and textures, from sheepskin, suede and wool to drapey silks to reworked and hard looking leather. I am very much looking forward to dissecting the looks more and taking them out of context and making them very personal. I cant wait to get a closer look at them at the press day. Watch this space for a more detailed look...

So it was my birthday at the beginning of this week and i narrowly avoided been struck down with the illness that seems to be going around (some sort of cold or flu), anyway, i lived another day. I have waxed lyrical about this beauty since June 09, when the first press release of these hit my computer inbox and now i have one hanging in my wardrobe! YAY, Celia Loves!Yes i can, but now i can cook a lot better! I have already learned how to correctly poach an egg!

Note the exceptional attention to detail my friend Sally took in making this for me (all items are exact replica's of clothes i actually own): a miniature Russian rabbit fur hat complete with badges; a fur coat (styled with a black leather bow); a New Look nautical tee shirt, leather H&M handbag*, styled here with on-trend leather skirt, black leggings and Acne atacoma wedges (the Acne wedges i do not actually own, but one can dream).

Its Monday morning, it is February the 1st, it is my birthday! Whoop! But i think all the excitement and anticipation over the weekend of manically looking forward to it, and constantly reminding everyone (by the hour) of what was to come has made me ill. Last night with 2 hours to go till my birthday gong, i started to come down with a sore throat, heavy head and a simultaneously blocked and runny nose. Not great but i am not going to let it ruin the day!

Anyway, champagne breakfast down and with the whole day ahead of me, i remembered a little something that i saw during Paris fashion week that made me smile...

Inside Moschino

Attending the Moschino AW10 presentation in Milan this season was a bit like a kid been let loose into a gratis candy shop. Aside from the pretty impressive collection- (video below filmed and edited my me for Buckstyle)

Everywhere you turned there was always something that caught my eye, a bit almost like a Moschino museum. Check out the cool at Moschino HQ, Milano...

I did wonder if it was, and wanted oh-so much to throw my double espresso over it, but the thought of been escorted out of Moschino HQ by 2 well dressed security guards was that little bit to mortifying. Till this day i still am none the wiser...

Fantastic trench coat/biker jacket combo from the AW10 collection.I love this new hybridity (is that a real word) in fashion. Oh and mustn't forget to mention the very incredibly-handsome-sexy model.

RA Exhibition at Paris Fashion Week AW10

In between all the excitement and the jam packed fashion chaos that was my show schedule of Paris fashion week, i managed to get myself over to the RA exhibition space, and boy am i glad i did. The exhibition was a collective of designers straight from Antwerp showing their AW10 collections.
One particular designers using the space included the lovely and incredibly talented Romain Brau co-founder of the RA store in Antwerp. Just so many of the pieces i saw from his collection could have so easily slid straight out of that showroom and into my wardrobe (but of course that would be theft), i would of course need a lot more wardrobe space with the amount of beautiful furs and fantastic textures throughout the collection, but that is another matter of extending my current wall to wall wardrobe into a full blown out walk in closet (all in the pipeline).
Below are my top 10 pieces from his collection, but to be honest, i could quite as easily have given you a top 100 if there were enough hours in the day:

Starting off with this incredibly unique red fur coat, words fail me.

Cable knit jumper, cropped at the back and extended bib at the front
3-
Wooden carved headpiece- I think someone needs to give headpieces their moment. I would happily wear this getting my shopping at my local Tesco

You can never have to much fur

5-
Knitted trousers with exposed knee. Note the hair/fur cascading from the holes. Whack these on with a pair of sandals and i am off...

6-
I think quite possibly the key item for AW10, the shearling lined jacket. I love Romain's simple take on the jacket. Also note the sequined cut-out vest top styled underneath the coat. I think that will have to me number 6.5 in the list. The time and effort and expertise that must have gone into hand-sewing all the black and red sequins on to the garment is astonishing

7- Chunky knit with feather detail. Romain makes something that should be chunky and weighty look so floaty and elegant.

Gold metallic finish cardigan- incredibly effortless

Sheer feathered dress

Cut-out workman boots, they strike an amazing balance between chunky work boot and sandal. A balance I never ever thought i would want, but quite clearly i do!

Paris fleas: My silver lining

Paris is amazing for many things and one of the most amazing is the aray of vintage and trift (freep- as they say in Paris) and flea markets and didnt i find this out...

After a false start on day one in Milan, where my two favourite coats were stolen at the infamous Punks Wear Prada party, i was livid and upset. Not only had all my outfits packed been carefully planned around these two coats, but also that someone was and is walking around Milan looking fabulous! The plan was to shield myself from the cold with the vintage rabbit fur and then wear a variety of grey sweatshirts and over sized tee shirts underneath teamed with leggings and tights... easy and then any one of these shoes! And then at night throw on my River Island denim Balmain style biker jacket- all effortlessly of course...
Anyway, after drunken tears and a 5am total wardrobe re-think, i had a plan. The coat that got me through the Milanese cold was this military red beauty:

This and of course lots and lots of layering.

Anyway upon arriving in Paris, i did my research and within 2 hours of touching down at Charles de Gaud airport and into our beautiful Marais apartment in the 3rd, i was down to Guerrisol and had acquired these beauties...

This luscious fox fur coat in an amazing ginger colour matching my ginger mane- A snip at €30Del-boy-esque/Prada AW10 style sheepskin 70s coat- a steal at €10

They say every cloud has a silver lining. Maybe this cloud is lined in Parisiene thrift!

*PS- If by stroke of chance anybody does know the wearabouts of my two stolen coats, please do let me know as i am still pining over them...

I am back in London and with a stack of SHOW VIDEOS for Buckstyle to edit- no rest for the wicked. I have got so much to blog about, lots of tid-bits to share. So i guess i will start off with the a-list front row. Now this time last year i was lucky enough to grab a short interview with K. West himself backstage at the Walter Van Bierendonck show. But this time i didn't, i did my best in impersonating a creepy paparazzo and got a some (hazy) footage of Kanye West and (Rihanna beater) Chris Brown. Check out Amber Rose amazing Burburry Prorsum AW09 boots in the first footage... CELIA LOVES!

Other honorable mentions for front row celebrities were Pharrell Williams and (sexy) Mr Hudson.

Packing for fashion week... Footwear

After compiling a never ending to do list yesterday, time seemed to have crept up on me and it was one hour shy of midnight and I still with no idea what i was packing and which looks i will be 'sporting' (or 'guying' as my mum would say).
Now i remember (painfully) vividly from last year that Milan in January is snowy and wet, very similar weather to what we have been experiencing of late but 5 times worse (if that is imaginable). The mistake i made last year was packing wholeheartedly for fashion and shunning comfort (some people might believe this is the only way to do fashion week...). My naive reaction to wholeheartedly celebrate fashion extended to the fact that i (subconsciously) forgot to/didn't pack any flats. I know, what was i thinking...? Picture this: me trudging the long streets of Milan, 5 feet behind the rest of my team, in sleet and wet conditions, running 10 minutes late for the Alexander Mc Queen show, getting my beautiful Stella McCartney heels ruined. But picture this for every show and every day for Milan and Paris fashion week.... Not only did my tottering pace drive the rest of the team mental having to stop for me at every block for me to catch up, but i now see what a Fashion no-no it was! Not only the fact that i had to borrow a pair of flats from my other male team members- namely a pair of battered size 11 Converse.
Any way, that was my first fashion week in Milan, i am older and wiser... This year calls for some more durable shoe wear... I am thinking DMs, amazing in all weather and will stomp me from one show to the next...

After a well deserved break, i am back and raring to go. Feeling refreshed and currently on day 14 of the proverbial 'new year new you' detox (consisting of no booze and a diet of mainly vegetables and fruit), my mind is clear and busting with so many things that i love and just want to shout out at the top of my lungs....
With a day of shooting down yesterday i wanted to post a few behind the scenes pictures from the shoot. The editorial was a 6 page spread for Diva magazine shot by the amazing Holly Falconer and video shot by James Yeomans. The theme was love with a 90s grunge feel and managed to shoot some amazing pieces by my favourite designers: Mawi, Alexander Wang, Balmain, Acne, Christopher Kane and of course what says 90s more than Dr Martens?

JCDC SS10- Colour epiphany

Up until a recent colour revelation at a JCDC SS10 press preview, most people who know me know that i have been going through, apparently what could be described as "mourning", in terms of my total adoption of a muted, mostly black colour palette in my every day dress ( i blame this on the goth/grunge trend).
I used to (as close to 4 months ago) have the rule that i did not, would not, shall never ever ever (cross my fingers hope to die, stick a needle in my eye) were black, and before then had a technicolour of brightly coloured garments in my wardrobe. In the recent colder months the staple has been black skinny jeans and leggings, black sheer tee shirts and over-sized tees and shirts etc etc. Now it seems i have had a colour epiphany.

Bring on the summer!

Luella SS10- All things nice...

The whole of the Luella collection was thoroughly impressive with the showroom holding far more items than were actually shown on the day. Like a little fashion magpie, i was instantly drawn to the vast accessory display and more importantly, the cute-sy keyrings. The collection in a few words: Sugar, spice, all-things-nice! There was far to much in the actual apparel collection for me to photograph and blog about, so here are a few of my favourite accessories and a smidge of my favourite garments.

Armani press day- SS10

This is a bit late as you might know that the Armani press day happened a few weeks ago, but i have been super busy shooting various things (fashion-wise, i don't mean bears and deer). There will be lots of behind the scenes images to come later, but i am now going to follow with my favourite pictures from the press days to date. If i could fill my life with all of these, i would be a happy woman*.

I know it is shocking, but i would certainly wear them. I hate mice and rats and pigeons, but mainly i detest mice and rats (give me a spider or cockroach any day of the week). The very sight of something scuttling in the corner of my eye, gets me on high alert, jumping and yelping like a crazed woman. But there is something about Reid's taxidermy jewellery that just doesn't get that reaction out of me, quite the opposite.

Q. Why Taxidermy vermin as jewelery?

A: The are a whole host of reasons that led to me making jewelery out of preserved vermin. When I first came to London from California i was really taken aback by the constant presence of rats and pigeons in the city. I mean, these creatures that by most are thought of as disease ridden pests live in such close proximity to us, they feed off our waste. Really, they are a consequence of human overindulgence. In their deaths' there is a chance for us to reconsider our relationship with them. Taxidermy can evoke such visceral emotional responses in people-- it looks like something that’s alive, even when you know its dead, there is something about it that touches a nerve.

When taxidermy and jewelry are combined there is a real chance for something beautiful yet creepy, fascinating and macabre to happen. Essentially your dressing yourself with death..

And then of course my cat Panasonic brings me little treats that she has caught in the wild and what better way to make use of them..

Q: I am guessing you cant be too squeamish with guts and gore...

A: When you do it well, then taxidermy doesn't haven't to be all that gory. It isn't as gross as many people imagine. Having said that i really like gory movies so maybe my squeam threshold is set higher than most's.

Q: Did you study jewellry design?

A: No I did not. I studied fine art at CSM. It was a great place to be. I was surrounded by really amazing designers and makers from loads of disciplines the whole time I was there. When I need help with something jewelry or craft specific, I have a whole network of knowledgeable people who are willing to lend a hand.

Q: Do you think you will move on from vermin?

A: Yes definitely. I have some designs in the works (and specimens in the freezer). I am working on a grey squirrel bomber hat at the moment.. Actually some people call them Vermin too don't they? Well I am working with squirrels and foxes for the next collection.

Q: How do you think the brand will progress? There is only so much you can do with mice, rats and pigeons right...(or is there)?

A: I am really excited about the future of RP/Encore. I am looking forward to working with new animals and I don't want people to get tired of seeing ratties and pigeons!
In terms of progression of the brand, I am at a stage now where a few more clients and stockists would go down a real treat.

Q: Are you working on any collaborations at the moment?

A: Not as many as I would like to but there are only so many hours in the day. I have been lending stuff out to stylists recently and I am really looking forward to seeing how the have worked with my pieces. In a sense that's a collaborative process...
I did make some work for a Lady GaGa video-- fingers crossed they use it!

I've also been working with creative duo PolzerHoffstedt on a Swedish pop star's music video, which is shaping up to be pretty amazing.

Q: What will the next collection be like?

A: I cannot wait. I am really excited to get started. Expect the same kind of fusion of taxidermy and accessories. This time I am going to make some more elaborate larger pieces as well as the smaller stuff like necklaces and cuff-links. I want to up my game in terms of the complexity of the designs. I don't want to spoil the surprise though so you will have to wait and see...

A: I love all my creations! My friend Viktor Vauthier took the picture of the girl with the white rat wrist chain. That is definitely one of my favourites... Also I wear a pigeon foot pendant almost everyday (pictured above).

Acne Paper Party Pics

Now i am not one to post party pics on this blog, but this was a party worth noting about. It happened on Friday at the Spitalfield Church in my manor, East London. Vodka was flowing and everyone who was anyone was there. It was too much fun, a great party to catch up with all the people you work with on a daily basis and don't get to see often enough.
The theme of the new issue of Acne Paper was enlightenment, spirituality, transcendence and paradise. "As human beings we sense there is more going on than meets the eye... We are reminded about these energies when entering holy places created by great craftsmen and artist... Even the most sceptical atheist, when gazing at the icons, painting and sculptures, feel that there is something godlike about it." A very fitting comment for the grand location.

So i went to the McQueen Press office earlier in the week to pick up some samples for the Buckstyle Halloween video shoot i was styling on Wednesday, and I stumbled upon all the SS1o womenswear samples from Paris fashion week. They were back and they were in my presence! I couldn't help but perv... And then i saw these!

Yes i did try them on!
Simply amazing, such works of art. Fashion moments like these are one of the reason i love and work in fashion.

Not Just a Label Pop-up store

Have you heard...? Online shop Not Just A Label will be opening an exclusive pop-up store in Notting Hill during the 23rd and 24th of October.

After 24 months online, the 2 day event at Beach Blanket Babylon, Notting Hill will see shoppers able to get their hands on the exclusive and mostly one off designs as well as meeting the designers.
Lara Stone, the most recent curator of the site (previous curators include Diane Pernet, Robin Schulié and Amanda LePore), will have her selection available in store as well as a whole host of promising designers. I certainly cant wait to be in the store and get my hands on all of the designs and see them face to face. God knows i love shopping online (and so does my bank card), but nothing beats the instant spark you get when you see a must have item on a rail. I have always found the site so inspiring and a great platform for new and young designers, even I myself have my graduating collection on the website, and although my pursuit to be a designer is on hold, it is always great to trawl the site for new talent. Scottish designer and Central St Martins graduate Jamie Bruski Tetsill has designed this biodegradable canvas bag for Scottish charity Scots Care with all the money goes to charity for Scots in London in distress and hardship. The bag features Jamie's trademark bold print, here with the 'K' in his name. I am a huge canvas bag girl with a collection spanning over 20 canvas bags, and all of them acting as a receptacle of all my daily bits and bobs (basically everything including the kitchen sink) but not just any old sack, no, it has to be something eye catching and with all the proceeds going to the charity, i'd be a total 'dobber' not to go buy one of these right now! Jamie's AW08 collection (above) was tipped by Vogue as "the next-big-thing out of Scotland".

This was a 10 meter polystyrene structure at the SHOWstudio exhibition of Ms Campbel herself, and the audience were invite to draw onto a separate computer screen and the images drawn were projected onto the huge structure. If you look cloesly at the left of the image, what do you see on Naomi's abdomen...? I wonder who did that...?

I mean it is really not fair as i am certainly not a hat person (not through choice, only as i have been blessed with beautiful gravity defying hair and cursed with hat repelling bone structure)! But have a peepers at these fabulous hats.
